Each mentor is an important liaison between individual schools and our abundant local and national environmental resources, such as Clean VA Waterways, Edible Garden, or the EnRichmond Foundation. Mentors can either help schools improve an existing or implement a new sustainable project/program with teachers and students. Possible projects could include planting a rain garden, improving a school’s existing recycling program, or helping to clean local streams.  Mentors work with their assigned school during March-October and will dedicate a minimum of 4 hours per month. This period consists of a planning stage (March-June) and project implementation stage(September-October).
